Who are we?

Through increased notoriety among players nationwide, Humble Over Hype has become a global brand recognized by high school, collegiate and professional athletes. Humble Over Hype is breaking barriers between athletes and the world as we recognize each individual beyond their athletic ability and promote the message of humility. 

At Humble Over Hype, we believe that from the foundation of Faith, athletes can build a life where their self-worth isn’t rooted in the sport they play, the amount of money they make or the amount of people that know their name!

Did you know that 7 % of high school student athletes make it to the collegiate level and fewer than 2% of collegiate athletes will go on to play professionally. The lack of guidance/exposure to opportunities and experiences outside of sports can result in athletes facing identity loss once the sport is over.

Our goal is to bridge the gap by providing exposure, mental health awareness/panels, mentor programs, character development workshops, events, and apparel.

Meet the founder

At the age of 16, Chelsea Vaughn began to apply her spirituality to her passion for sports and the athletes that invest in them. Through prayer, events, one-on-ones, social media and more to connect and inspire. With a heart for people, Chelsea aims to invest, build, sacrifice and fulfill the vision God has given her. Chelsea embraces the process and appreciates the growth, the ups, downs and behind the scenes growth when no one is watching.

Mission

Humble over Hype is a 501C3 Non Profit seeking to create humility in generation, after generation through the spiritual and moral development of athletes. We are a medium between athletes and the world, recognizing athletes beyond their athletic abilities.
